Investment Advisor Goals
The goals for the Investment Advisor are very simple:
- Provide objective and transparent investing information through our analysis and commentary
- Beat the S&P 500 benchmark each year (though not guaranteed to do so)
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy
The financial services industry is full of “experts” who will say anything to make you buy what they’re selling. Not us. We want you to be a successful investor, and we make sure our incentives are aligned with ours. If our picks don’t do well, we lose you as a customer. If they do, we both win. We are not paid by any third parties for our research, and we will always let you know if we have a vested interest (for example, if we own shares) in a company we cover. Try finding that with a broker who gets paid everytime you trade, regardless of whether you make money or not.
To achieve these goals, we have selected to focus on the small- to medium-capitalization market of companies, both in the United States and around the world. We look for companies that are currently under-valued as well as those that have excellent growth prospects. We call these “value/growth blend” companies. Additionally, we will often select companies with high insider ownership and a strong dividend policy, as those have performed better than nearly all other investments we’ve researched.
Let Our Experience Make You Money
My name is Ryan Freund, and I’m the Chief Analyst for the Investment Advisor Newsletter Service. I have seen the power of a value/growth blend approach when applied to small- and mid-capitalization companies. I have over 10 years of experience researching such companies, and many of my analyses have been featured on Seeking Alpha, Yahoo! Finance, CBS Marketwatch, Business Week, The Motley Fool and a host of other financial blogs and sites.
Want proof of the FI Methodology’s effectiveness? Freund Investing, using the FI Methodology, is ranked in the top 1% out of nearly 56,000 independent, professional, and institutional investors, with an accuracy of more than 76%. We are beating all professional and institutional analysts (as of April 15th, 2008). Check out our statistics below, courtesy of The Motley Fool.
This is a testament to the strength of the value/growth blend methodology used to select the Investment Advisor picks.
